Welcome to the Network: Reshanti

Welcome to the network, Reshanti. We're delighted to have you with us, and delighted to introduce you to our community of studios, teachers, schools, retreats, and product makers.
Based in Gent, Belgium, Reshanti is an online marketplace that connects people with independent yoga teachers worldwide for personalised, one-on-one online classes. Students can explore teachers by yoga style, experience, language, pricing, and availability, then book live sessions directly on the platform. More than 60 teachers from 30 countries are already part of it. We asked co-founder Sara to tell us more about the person behind the platform.
Finding a Piece of Home
Like many good ideas, Reshanti began with a personal need. Sara tells us, "When I moved to another country six years ago, I was starting over in a place where I knew no one." She missed her family, her language, and the feeling of being at home.
Yoga became the way back to herself. "I discovered yoga and, eventually, found a teacher who spoke my native language." What followed went far beyond exercise: "It gave me a sense of connection, comfort, and a little piece of home."
Building the Bridge
That experience shaped what came next. "My own experience made me realise how meaningful the connection between a student and a yoga teacher can be," Sara says. "I wanted to make that connection easier for people, regardless of where they live or what language they speak."
The other half of the picture matters just as much to her: "I also wanted to create more opportunities for talented teachers to reach students beyond their local communities." Reshanti focuses on live instruction and personal connection, rather than pre-recorded libraries. Students choose their own teacher and practise at their own pace.
The Work Behind the Scenes
Anyone who has built something from nothing will recognise Sara's honesty about the hard part. "The hardest part is bringing two sides of a marketplace together: helping students discover and trust the right teacher, while creating real opportunities for teachers to grow."
Much of that work never shows. "Most people only see the finished platform, not all the small decisions and challenges that go into making it work." It's a useful reminder for anyone in yoga business that steady, unseen effort is what makes a good experience feel effortless.
What She Hopes Students Feel
When we asked what she wants people to feel after a session, Sara's answer was gentle and clear: "I want people to feel lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves."
She went on to describe something deeper: "And perhaps most importantly, I want them to feel that they have a space where they belong, wherever they are in the world." For a platform that links people across borders and languages, that feels like the right intention.
Advice for Beginners and Builders
Sara has words for two kinds of newcomers. For those just beginning their practice: "you don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or perfect." Her invitation is simple. Start, stay curious, and find a teacher whose approach feels comfortable.
For those thinking about building a business in yoga, she offers this: "start with a real problem you care about. Listen to the people you’re trying to help, be ready to learn, and don’t expect everything to happen overnight. Meaningful things take time to build."
